**Job Description Summary**: Electrification Systems, a rapidly expanding segment of GE Vernova, is seeking a Global Sustainability Leader focused on leading and operationalizing our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy.

The Sustainability Leader will support Electrification Systems growth strategy and drive impact by embedding sustainability into our commercial offerings, partnerships and every fabric of our operations. Answering strategically and influencing our customers’ requirements and ensuring alignment with our commitment to carbon neutrality and waste reduction within the Electrification Systems group, which encompasses Grid Solutions, Power Conversion, and Solar & Storage Solutions.

As part of the global leadership team of GE Electrification Systems, the Global Sustainability Leader will work in partnership with sustainability leaders across other GE Vernova businesses and Corporate to execute on sustainability strategies within our operational frameworks.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Leading a small team of experts in the business HQ as well as in the various business Lines
- Shape and tailor Electrification Systems ESG and Sustainability strategy ensuring a seamless alignment with GE Vernova thereby enhancing the strategic coherence between GE Vernova's overarching goals and the segment's specific objectives and in close alignment with Electrification’s customer and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure coordination of strategy and initiatives across all business units within GE Vernova Electrification Systems Segment, including supporting operationalization of critical initiatives within the various businesses
- Lead engagement with Business Lines and relevant functions such as EHS, Sourcing, Engineering, HR, Communications, and Finance to operationalize Sustainability strategy and governance with appropriate ESG policies and Sustainability KPIs
- Build and secure approval of holistic resource plan to cover short, medium, and longer-term strategic goals.
- Work directly with customers in long term partnerships, building trust and representing the business Sustainability interests and contributions to the commercial relationship and value creation.
- Monitor and ‘translate’ external ESG requirements relevant to GE Vernova Electrification segment’s leadership and other stakeholders, and execute action as needed to ensure an all-time compliant and relevant position.
- Oversee Electrification Systems Sustainability data process and consolidation and feed to relevant business needs, and Vernova level/GE ESG reporting.
- Lead training and Sustainability awareness initiatives with relevant functions, to foster employee engagement and develop a true Sustainability culture across the Organization.
- Represent GE Vernova Electrification Systems’ segment Sustainability position in relevant external networks and events.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, EHS or other related disciplines from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 5 years experience leading ESG & Sustainability programs and operationalization - translating strategy into tangible action and impact - from an international organization, preferably in an industrial and manufacturing space.
- Strong knowledge of climate, circularity and social frameworks and trends relevant for a global industrial business in the energy sector
- Solid knowledge of relevant reporting and regulatory requirements in the ESG space and experience with leading internal and external reporting processes and stakeholder engagement
- Experience in navigating and influencing within a global, multi-stakeholder matrix organization with effective communication and driving sustainability education and awareness among senior leadership.
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in French is an advantage.
- Ability to occasionally travel to meet customers and other stakeholders.

**Preferred Locations**
- This position can be located remotely in Europe. The business has offices in France, UK and Germany as main hubs, with other regional offices, hence our flexibility in addition to the global nature of this role.
