Expert Science & Technology - Parenteral Formulation and Process Development Job ID REQ-10042743 Feb 28, 2025 Summary Location: Basel, SwitzerlandRole Purpose:Join the Pharmaceutical Development (PHAD) Specialty Unit as an Expert - Formulation Scientist (FS) for drug product formulation and process development of parenteral innovative medicines, especially xRNA therapeutics and radioligand therapies (RLT). Advance the technology platform for both xRNA and RLTs and contribute to the development of patient-centric drugs. The position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about bringing transformational medicines to patients and working on exciting novel pharmaceutical products.The candidate will design, plan, perform and document scientific experiments for the preparation and timely development of drug product formulations and manufacturing processes in collaboration within a multifunctional project team coordinated by a Project leader. Contribute to maintenance of lab instruments/infrastructure. About the Role Key Responsibilities: Design, plan, perform, interpret, and report results of scientific experiments for the preparation and timely delivery of drug product formulation and manufacturing processes Contribute to project/local network activities, support team members, participate in project teams, and contribute to overall TRD strategies and goals Conduct experiments related to formulation and process development of oligonucleotides or peptides Communicate and address problems, perform literature searches under moderate guidance. Contribute to the maintenance of lab instruments Contribute to transfer of processes to non-GMP and GMP manufacturing facilities. Ensure adherence to HSE rules and guidelines. Role Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or related field with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a pharmaceutical industry setting. Good technical and scientific knowledge in parenteral product development, process development, and formulation development. Experience in Oligonucleotides, Biologics, Peptides / RLT development preferable. Proficient with laboratory and/or technical tools (e.G. lyophilization, spray drying, analytical equipment, autoclave, etc…) Adequate knowledge of software and computer tools. Good presentation skills and scientific/technical writing skills.
