About the Role:
Smarttech247 is a multi-award winning MDR (Managed Detection & Response) company and a market leader in Security Operations. In this role you will work the in the expanding CTI team a client, who is a global pharmaceutical company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, a passion for research, and the ability to analyse complex threats. The Threat Research Analyst will assist the CTI team in the various phases of the intelligence cycle by carrying out detailed analysis on malware, and assisting the process of providing relevant intelligence to the overall security team and senior decision makers. Please note that as our client is based in the EU and US, there may be some requirement to work during Pacific Standard Time office hours.
Main Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth research and malware analysis. Monitor and evaluate threat intelligence from various sources, including open-source intelligence (OSINT), dark web, and proprietary data. Support threat research effort. Support operational threat reports production. Participate in threat hunting activities to proactively identify and neutralize potential threats. Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, GIAC) are a plus. Minimum of 3 years of experience in threat research, threat intelligence, or a related cybersecurity role. Knowledge of common threat actors, TTP's and security controls. Strong understanding of cyber threat landscape, including malware, phishing, ransomware, APTs, and other attack vectors. Proficient in using threat intelligence platforms, SIEM tools, and other cybersecurity technologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify patterns. Strong threat research skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.What We Offer:
