The role plays an important role in creating partnerships with BeOne Medicines leaders and workplace services representatives at all office locations to assist in identifying workplace safety and health risks and in implementing control measures that align with company initiatives. Additionally, the incumbent will be consulting with colleagues on day-­to-day safety operations, emergency response procedures, ergonomics, risk assessments, incident reporting and other EHS programs. The role serves as the focal point for safety awareness training and messaging (EHS communications) and oversees the safety committee.The role partners closely with the following BeOne Medicines functions: Workplace Services, Global Security, Commercial, Clinical Operations, Legal/Compliance, Human Resources, and EHS (Manufacturing). This position will be in Basel, Switzerland, and will lead Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) for all office-based, commercial, and remote workers across Europe and the UK. This EHS leader will be responsible for developing strategy and leading the implementation of all aspects of the local, regional and global EHS programs according to the jurisdictional requirements within the region and directly support the European and UK leadership teams.Essential Functions of the Job: Develop and implement a proactive Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) management system and overall program. Lead the development of tracking, analysis, and assessment of EHS metrics and advise management about company impacts and improvements. Provide expert advice on WHS related matters, emerging issues and impacts to the organisation.Champion the psychosocial risk management programLead and conduct worker consultative arrangementsOversee the region-wide accident and incident investigation process. Embrace continuous improvement and implement corrective and preventive actions. Play an active and integral role in the Global EHS team.Proactively lead the risk management process for the regionLead the injury management and return to work program for injured or ill workers.Assist in the preparation, completion, and timely submission of related agency regulatory reports. Lead emergency response planning and incident response, office and work from home ergonomics, accident report oversight, pandemic planning. Skills and Experience:7+ years EHS management, both strategic and operational.
