We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to provide first and second-level support within a company's Geneva office. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and possess extensive experience in system administration and the financial sector. This role also involves providing VIP support to an executive team.
IT Support Engineer (Finance Sector)Join a leading financial institution with a global presence. Having a headcount of approximately 1,000 employees worldwide and 100 users on-site in Geneva, they are committed to delivering exceptional IT support to their team.
Description
- Provide first and second-level IT support to users, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
- Help managing and maintaining server infrastructure, including server management, SCCM, virtual machines, and Active Directory.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Support and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory.
- Provide VIP support to executive team members, ensuring high levels of service and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with global IT teams to ensure consistent and reliable IT services across all locations.
- Document and maintain IT support procedures and knowledge base articles.
- Assist in IT projects and initiatives as required.
Profile
- Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.
- Proven experience in IT support roles, preferably within the financial sector (banking, trading, insurance, financial services).
- Strong knowledge of system administration, including server management, SCCM, virtual machines, and Active Directory.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to provide high-quality VIP support and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA A+, ITIL) are a plus.
