The Role
As a Business Application Manager, you act as the vital connection between our business units and IT, ensuring that business applications align with organizational needs. You are responsible for shaping application requirements, guiding business teams in understanding their needs, and making informed decisions to enhance and optimize the group-wide application portfolio. Your role is key to ensuring that business applications effectively support operational goals and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
How you’ll make impact
Application Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of business applications with focus on ERP, Datawarehouse and Business Intelligence applications.
Scripting and Automation: Leverage strong Python scripting skills to develop, enhance, and rework scripts for automating processes, improving efficiency, and solving technical challenges.
Application Support: Provide Level 2/3 support for business applications, troubleshooting issues, diagnosing problems, and working with end-users and vendors to resolve system-related incidents.
Project Work:Participate in internal projects, contributing to their success by providing expertise on business applications and future integrations.
Business Process Alignment: Work closely with business units to understand their processes and requirements, ensuring that applications support these effectively.
What’s important to us
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience:Highly experienced in managing business applications.Proven experience with ERPapplications. Proven experience with Vertec is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:Strong Python Skills are a must. Experience with database management (SQL) and application integrations (APIs, middleware).
Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business processes and how IT applications can improve business performance.
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in process improvement and optimization.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Language Requirement: Must be fluent in English andGerman, both written and spoken.
