Your responsibility Underwrite 'Power Accounts' and steer the portfolio according to Helvetia Group Underwriting Directives and Guidelines. Develop new business within the Power Sector making full use of already well-established connections as well as developing new regions and technology offerings. Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers / clients with a clear focus on profitability. Evaluate technical risks in addition to Natural Catastrophe Exposures and complex Business Interruption exposure. Determine exposures, normal loss expectancies, maximum possible loss scenarios. Attend national and international client and broker meetings as well as site inspections where necessary. Close cooperation with our claims department for large and complex claims. Your qualification University Degree in a relevant field. Extensive experience in Power Underwriting as a broker and/or as an underwriter within the Power Sector. Experience working in a key insurance hub such as London would be a great asset. Have strong business acumen and be well informed of the Power Markets you operate in with close connections to Risks Managers of small to large Power Utilities.  Recognition by your peers as a knowledgeable and competent Power Underwriter would be a strong positive. Tackle challenges with passion and demonstrate high expectations of own performance. Develop stable partnerships across departmental boundaries and cooperate to meet common goals. Positive, flexible, and team-oriented approach. Must have a high proficiency in English. Other language skills such as German, French, Spanish for example are an advantage.
