Company DescriptionThe "(Director) Medical Affairs" sits within the global medical affairs and clinical development team and is responsible for developing and executing the global medical strategy and plan for the assigned product in collaboration with the rest of the global medical team, as well as supporting the necessary cross‑functional workstreams, while adhering to the highest scientific and ethical standards.Job DescriptionIncluded but not limited to:ResponsibilitiesBuild and execute the Global Medical strategy, including but not limited to the following deliverables:Build and execute global medical strategy and tactical planManage engagement of global KOLs in the therapeutic areaGive input to clinical studies (RWE, phase IV) as requiredCollaborate with the scientific/communication director to develop the communication strategyExternal and internal training and training materialScientific input to scientific publicationsSupport to cross‑functional projectsProvide scientific input to the development and review of promotional materialTo be successful in his role, the (Senior) Director Medical AffairsWill possess and continue to develop significant level of knowledge on lipidology and cardiometabolicWill develop productive relationships and contributions key opinion leaders and scientific societiesWill develop productive relationships and contributions within the cross‑functional headquarter team, as well as with local affiliate offices, and collaborative partnersWill role model the highest scientific and ethical standards, and work in accordance with applicable rules and regulations with regards medical activities activitiesQualificationsExperience/CompetenciesMedical degree or Ph DRelevant global medical affairs experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry (+7 years) including proven previous global launchPrevious relevant experience (+5 years) in cardiometabolic/lipidologyDemonstrated ability to build and execute strategic and tactical medical plansExperience and ability to engage with key external stakeholdersDesiredSpecialty in cardiology, lipidology, endocrinologySkills/LanguagesDemonstrated ability to accurately and effectively evaluate and analyse medical/scientific literatureDemonstrated excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of representing the company to all audiences both internally and externally, particularly in the context of collaborations at international conferences and scientific symposiaExcellent organizational skills, be a self‑motivated driver of best practices and processes in the management of projects and operationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAdditional InformationPersonal attributesGood team-player, able to work effectively in a team setting and interact respectfully with people of different cultural, seniority and functional backgroundsHighly flexible and comfortable working in a fast paced and quickly changing environmentAble to work well in a virtual environment.
