Event & Communications Coordinator (40 -50 )

Are you passionate about science communication and event organization?Join our group at ETH Zurich and help us share our research and connect with the academic community. Plan, organize, and support scientific events, workshops, and outreach activities – from small internal meetings to larger interdisciplinary or public events. Coordinate communication within the group and with external institutions. Provide administrative support, including processing expenses and invoices. Maintain and update web content and internal communication materials. Collaborate with the Department and ETH Corporate Communications to ensure alignment with institutional standards. Contribute to the creation of visual materials (e.g. website visuals, posters, slides, templates) to support communication and outreach activities. (Nice to have) Support and advise on short scientific texts for the website, grant proposals and presentations. RequirementsCompleted commercial apprenticeship (kaufmännische Lehre) with further training in event organization, or a degree in communications and/or event management, or equivalent work experience in a related field. A Bachelor's degree is not required but considered an advantage, particularly for tasks involving scientific texts or grant proposals. Experience organizing events in an academic or higher -education environment, ideally at ETH or another university. Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), the official ETH Zurich web content management system, is an advantage. Strong affinity for digital and administrative tools (e.g. MS Office, ETH systems, content platforms). Excellent communication and coordination skills, with a proactive and organized work style. Fluent in German and English (spoken and written). Interest in science and academic research topics. Creativity and initiative in developing engaging event and communication formats.
