Role Description: The IT Support Engineer / Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining the stability, security, and efficiency of IT systems and network infrastructure. This dual-role position involves providing technical support to end users while also ensuring the smooth operation of network components, servers, and connectivity across the organization. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in IT support, networking principles, and system administration, along with strong troubleshooting and communication skills. Key Responsibilities: Provide first- and second-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues. Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN infrastructure, firewalls, routers, and switches. Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, applications, and network equipment. Manage user accounts, permissions, and system access in Active Directory and other platforms. Ensure network and data security through regular updates, patches, and monitoring tools. Support remote users and ensure VPN, VoIP, and connectivity services are operational. Document support processes, issue resolutions, and network configurations. Work closely with vendors and service providers to manage IT resources and resolve issues. Assist in IT projects such as network upgrades, system migrations, and cybersecurity initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 0+ years of experience in IT support, network administration, or a similar role. Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), switches, routers, and firewalls. Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, and common IT tools. Familiarity with Linux systems, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud services (Azure/AWS) is a plus. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or MCSA are preferred. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to support users at all levels. Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
