Director (Strategy & Data/AI Transformation – Financial Services)

Main Responsibilities As a Director focused on Financial Services, you will play a key leadership role in driving Artefact's growth across the banking and insurance sectors. You'll combine strategic advisory skills with a deep understanding of how data and AI are reshaping financial institutions. You will: · Drive Business Growth: Manage and expand a portfolio of top financial clients (~CHF/EUR 2M+ annually). Originate opportunities, lead proposals, and build trusted, long-term relationships with C-suite executives. · Deliver Data & AI Transformation: Lead multiple high-impact programs — from AI-powered customer intelligence and GenAI use-case scaling to advanced analytics for risk, compliance, and digital operating model design — ensuring measurable business value and impact. · Inspire & Lead Teams: Manage and mentor multi-disciplinary consulting teams, ensuring delivery excellence and talent development across strategy, data, and AI. · Shape Thought Leadership: Represent Artefact in the Swiss financial ecosystem through publications, client events, and industry insights on the future of AI in banking and insurance. · Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with Artefact's AI, data engineering, and regulatory experts to deliver compliant, robust, and innovative client solutions. Candidate Profile We are looking for a commercially driven, strategic leader with a strong foundation in consulting and a deep understanding of how data and AI create value in financial services. · Experience: Minimum 8 years in strategy consulting, with a focus on banking, insurance, or asset management. · Business Development: Proven success in originating and managing client portfolios of CHF/EUR 2M+ annually. · Industry Expertise: Understanding of financial regulation, digital transformation, and the application of data & AI across key business functions. · Strategic Thinking: Strong structuring, analytical, and storytelling capabilities, able to engage senior executive audiences. · Leadership: Experience managing multiple teams and developing senior talent. · Languages: Fluency in German and English; French is a plus. · Education: Master's in Business, Finance, Economics, or Engineering; MBA or equivalent preferred. · Eligibility: Authorized to work in Switzerland.
