About the World Economic Forum

The World Economic Forum is a global organization dedicated to improving the state of the world through public-private cooperation. We bring together leaders from various sectors to shape global, regional, and industry agendas.

The Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chains (CAMSC) aims to support the transformation of manufacturing industries and supply chains to drive innovation and responsible growth. We engage with over 190 organizations from various sectors, governments, academic institutions, and civil society to anticipate global trends and incubate new partnerships.

The Forum's Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Network (C4IR) promotes the responsible adoption of technology and industrial transformation at the national, subnational, and global levels through policymaking, pilots, and partnerships.

Why We Are Recruiting

To enhance impact in key countries, CAMSC and C4IR are partnering to establish independent national or regional 4IR centres focused on Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chains. These centres, affiliated with the World Economic Forum, are set up by public and private organizations to drive innovation and impact, leveraging the Forum's global platform and network.

We are hiring a Regional Agenda Lead, Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chains, to support CAMSC's collaboration with the network of regional centres for advanced manufacturing, including the newly established C4IR Vietnam. The candidate will lead the collaboration and co-development of activities with regional centres, ensuring it effectively utilizes CAMSC's global initiatives and related Forum communities to achieve targeted impact.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the collaboration between CAMSC and regional centres for advanced manufacturing, including the C4IR Vietnam leadership and operational teams.
  2. Co-define annual collaboration plans with clear activities, progress, and impact milestones.
  3. Establish productive working relationships with regional centres teams, supported by effective work plans, timely communications, and regular meetings.
  4. Help regional centres, including C4IR Vietnam, maximize their collaboration with CAMSC and drive meaningful impact through their initiatives.
  5. Lead or support the generation and aggregation of regional and global insights and the development of specific deliverables to disseminate latest knowledge, findings, and lessons learned.
  6. Develop and implement a clear strategy for the incubation, management, and scaling up of initiatives with relevance to regional centres.
  7. Engage stakeholders from business and government to source input around emerging regional and global challenges and opportunities related to the future of advanced manufacturing and supply chains.
  8. Collaborate effectively with the Forum's relationship manager of regional centres.

Requirements and Experience

  • Master's degree in business, technology, engineering, policy, or similar fields.
  • 7+ years of experience in the private or public sector, with significant experience in business, technology, manufacturing, operations, or policy.
  • Proven project management and coordination skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, work collaboratively in multicultural teams, and manage both long- and short-term objectives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Deep knowledge of and direct experience in leading or contributing to multistakeholder initiatives, while engaging senior executives.
  • Highly collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Asia or interacting with stakeholders in Asia, with a particular focus on Vietnam.
  • Excellent verbal and written language skills in English.
  • Verbal and written language skills in Vietnamese are a key asset.

Why work at the Forum:

The Forum believes that progress happens by bringing together people from all walks of life who have the drive and the influence to improve the state of the world by building awareness and cooperation, shaping mindsets and agendas, and driving collective action.
