Production Planner Job Description

Gi Group SA is seeking a Production Planner to join their team. As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for defining the production program of semi-finished and finished products to meet customer demand, optimizing production costs and inventory levels, and verifying the availability of raw materials and components with the purchasing department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define the production program of semi-finished and finished products to meet customer demand
  • Optimize production costs and inventory levels
  • Verify the availability of raw materials and components with the purchasing department
  • Monitor production programs in the short and medium-long term, taking into account changes in demand, production capacity, and production strategy
  • Define production cycles, management logic, and MRP launch through production records
  • Monitor work orders for departments, identify causes of deviations from standards, propose and implement measures to optimize performance
  • Manage safety stock levels and monitor material rotation
  • Evaluate risks related to potential inefficiencies in flows and develop strategies for efficiency improvement
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in production planning and demand planning
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems, particularly SAP planning and forecasting
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language
