Senior Business Developer Flexibility

Alpiq, a Swiss energy company, is seeking a Senior Business Developer Flexibility to drive the development and construction of flexible power generation solutions in Europe. This role will be based in Switzerland and report to the Head Development & Projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct strategic assessments and valuations of flexibility opportunities, and lead them through the business development process.
  • Coordinate and manage project development activities, collaborating closely with country organizations within Alpiq.
  • Monitor projects and manage stakeholders, ensuring successful project execution.
  • Develop a network to identify new business opportunities and partnerships, driving growth and innovation.
  • Analyze M&A opportunities to enhance Alpiq's flexibility offerings.
  • Promote Alpiq's flexibility activities and projects in public forums, showcasing expertise and thought leadership.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Finance, or Economics, with a postgraduate formation in business administration or finance.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the energy sector, with a background in business development, strategy, or consulting.
  • Strong finance and business development skills, with a keen eye for opportunities and the ability to create value.
  • Self-motivated and autonomous, with the ability to motivate others and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and proficiency in English, German, and French.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering results.
