Advanced Mineral Research Scientist

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Mineral Research Scientist to join our team in grinding and dispersion research programs. As a subject matter expert, you will contribute to cross-functional groups and work independently on work packages.
You will be responsible for working with chemical additives, including dispersants, grinding aids, and rheology modifiers, in various processes such as wet grinding, dry grinding, slurry makedown, surface modification, slurry dewatering, spray drying, slurry stabilization, and particle size and stability analysis of mineral pigments.
The successful candidate will collect, generate, and review data to compile scientific information for decision-makers. They will implement the latest scientific findings and methods in their teams and generate data packages needed for publications, patents, presentations, and other forms of communication.
As a laboratory guidance provider, you will lead technicians, technologists, and associate scientists. Your accountabilities will include defining problems based on input from stakeholders and superiors, conducting literature reviews, communicating effectively with technical audiences, and understanding project goals and tasks.
This role requires a university degree in Science or Engineering Field, a good command of English and German, minimum 3 years of relevant experience, and demonstrated knowledge in a natural scientific discipline. You should be able to work independently, display innovative thinking, and apply the scientific method or statistical design processes. Good project management skills and occasional travel may be required.
