Hardware Development Engineer

Your Role: As a Hardware Development Engineer, you will actively drive concept generation, analysis, and development of innovative electronics solutions and system architectures for our state-of-the-art insulin infusion pumps. You will deliver functionally safe solutions with significant elements of cross-functional design, such as mechanical, software, and firmware, in compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA Medical Device Design Control processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to requirements definition, create design documentation, and verification test plans
- Participate in peer reviewing of various hardware development artifacts
- Support the verification team with HW-related verifications, including CB certifications for IEC
- Drive new component introduction and obsolescence management together with third-party suppliers
- Perform root cause analyses as part of 3rd-level support for complaints/production issues and generate technical reports (German and English)
Requirements:
- Degree level in Electronic Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of practical experience in this field
- Proven track record of developing embedded HW solutions, ideally within the medical sector
- Thorough knowledge of electronics assembly processes and test methodologies
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and manage your time effectively
- Team-oriented, communicative, responsive, and customer-focused
