We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Development Engineer to join our team at Ypsomed AG. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative electronics solutions and system architectures for our insulin infusion pumps.
Key Responsibilities- Drive concept generation, analysis, and development of innovative electronics solutions and system architectures
- Deliver functionally safe solutions with significant elements of cross-functional design
- Contribute to requirements definition, create design documentation, and verification test plans
- Participate in peer reviewing of hardware development artifacts
- Support the verification team with HW-related verifications, including CB certifications for IEC
- Drive new component introduction and obsolescence management together with third-party suppliers
- Perform root cause analyses as part of 3rd level support for complaints/production issues and generate technical reports
- Degree level in Electronic Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of practical experience
- Proven track record of developing embedded HW solutions, ideally within the medical sector
- Thorough knowledge of electronics assembly processes and test methodologies
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and manage time effectively
- Team-oriented, communicative, responsive, and customer-focused
- Experience with Altium Designer and DOORS Next is considered an advantage
