Senior Software Engineer for Big Data Processing Platform

Overview
The successful candidate will contribute to the development and optimization of our cutting-edge big data processing and analysis platform. This platform combines real-time stream processing with offline data storage and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and implement advanced data processing frameworks, including Spark Structured Streaming and Apache Beam.
- Design and optimize high-performance data analysis platforms using Java.
- Collaborate with physicists and equipment specialists to develop tailored libraries and APIs for user-friendly algorithm development and deployment.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Experience as a Backend Software Engineer or similar role, with proficiency in Core Java and the Spring Framework.
- Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
Desirable Skills and Experience
A plus for candidates with:
- Experience with serverless frameworks, particularly Knative and/or OpenFaaS.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Python and its ecosystem.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
- Experience with data processing frameworks, such as Apache Kafka and Apache Spark.
- Fluency in English, with the ability to work in French an advantage.
