At Lombard Odier, a global leader in wealth and asset management, we are seeking an experienced Workstation Infrastructure Specialist to join our team.
About the RoleWe offer a highly competitive salary package, with an estimated annual base salary of CHF 120,000 - 150,000, depending on experience.
This role plays a crucial part in designing, implementing, and maintaining our computing infrastructure and architecture for workstations. You will develop and enforce standards for hardware, software, and network configurations, ensuring compatibility and interoperability between different systems.
Key Responsibilities- Create comprehensive design plans for workstation infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network configurations.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for workstation deployment, management, and maintenance.
- Deploy and configure workstations to meet business needs, ensuring compatibility and interoperability with other systems.
- Manage and maintain workstation hardware and software inventory, including upgrades, patches, and security configurations.
- Monitor workstation performance, identify issues, and troubleshoot problems to ensure optimal system functionality.
- Optimize workstation configurations to improve performance, reduce costs, and enhance user experience.
- Implement and enforce security policies and protocols to protect workstations from unauthorized access and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with other IT teams, such as network and server administrators, to ensure workstation infrastructure aligns with business objectives and supports the organization's overall technology strategy.
- 5+ years' experience as a Workstation Architect or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in desktop support, network administration, or IT consulting.
- In-depth knowledge of workstation hardware, software, and networking technologies.
- Familiarity with desktop operating systems, application software, and hardware components like CPUs, memory, storage, and graphics cards.
- Strong skills in designing and architecting workstation infrastructure, including creating detailed designs and diagrams, and assessing and optimizing workstation performance.
- Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements, including data privacy laws, security standards, and industry regulations.
