Guest Services Representative

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Reservation Agent to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our hotel operations, you will be responsible for processing all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Verify availability of room types and rates, and communicate with guests to ensure their needs are met.
- Explain hotel policies, including guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies, to guests.
- Accommodate and document special requests, such as room upgrades or amenities.
- Answer questions about hotel facilities and services, and provide information on room accommodations.
- Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue and ensure a positive guest experience.
- Input and access data in the reservation system, and accurately indicate special room reservation types.
- Escalate guest concerns to management as necessary, and follow proper procedures to resolve issues.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- No related work experience necessary, but a strong desire to learn and grow with our company.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, such as hospitality or sales.
- Knowledge of hotel operations and reservation systems.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
