Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our financial reporting group, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Finance Group Co-Controller in reviewing and monitoring key financial movements to ensure accuracy and completeness in the Group's financial statements
  • Prepare certain areas of the Group financial statements under IFRS, including related disclosures
  • Stay up-to-date with technical accounting standards to ensure all reporting requirements are met and properly implemented
  • Conduct analytical reviews of the Group's balance sheet and profit & loss accounts
  • Participate in the monthly and year-end closing processes for the Group
  • Assist in annual audit preparations and participation
  • Review standalone financial statements (IFRS, Swiss CO, or other standards)
  • Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of financial reporting processes

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in accounting, finance, or control, with an advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., Swiss CPA or equivalent) preferred
  • 4-5 years of experience in accounting, auditing, controlling, or consolidation, ideally within a Big 4, commodity trading, or integrated oil & gas company
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel modeling
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS, consolidation processes, and intercompany eliminations
  • Entrepreneurial drive, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines during closing and reporting periods
