Job Title: Senior Compliance Officer

Lombard Odier is seeking a seasoned Senior Compliance Officer to join our team in Geneva. As a key member of our Compliance Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation of our compliance framework and the ongoing monitoring of our business activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the onboarding team, providing expert advice and direction to ensure efficient and effective onboarding reviews.
  • Ensure daily case distribution of account openings, subject to medium, high, and very-high risk classifications.
  • Perform quality control for cases requiring Due Diligence Committee presentation due to elevated risks.
  • Lead testing control of low-risk account validations performed by 1LoD.
  • Ensure identification of new talents, their integration, and onboarding.
  • Be a key interlocutor for the first line of defense across all markets.
  • Support the Head of Client Onboarding and Review with internal and regulatory audits.
  • Participate in tactical and strategic projects to enhance the onboarding review process.
Requirements:
  • 10 years of experience in Due Diligence and AML work in the financial services industry.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a manager/team lead in a run-the-bank organization.
  • Fluency in French and English is mandatory, with additional languages as an asset.
  • Used to handling complex client cases, including High Risk, PEP classified clients, and Complex Structures.
  • Thorough experience of handling various aspects of due diligence, including AML, CDB, FATCA, Tax, and CRS.
  • Bachelor's degree in law (or equivalent) or evidence of comparable academic/work achievement.
  • Ability to summarize complex topics, drive practical outcomes, and make sound decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
