The World Economic Forum, a leading global organization driving international cooperation and public-private collaboration, seeks an experienced professional to join its Urban Transformation team. This role will be based in San Francisco and is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative urban solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a global outreach strategy to foster partnerships with cities and businesses worldwide.
  • Collaborate with cities to establish local coalitions and support the launch of place-based innovation challenges.
  • Identify and connect potential partners to relevant cities, promoting new collaborations and securing funding for place-based innovation challenges.
  • Partner with the UpLink team to create an onboarding program for place-based innovation challenges.
Community Engagement and Support
  • Organize activities to cultivate and grow a community of pioneer cities, facilitating shared learning and collaboration across diverse urban innovation ecosystems.
  • Lead Steering Committee meetings to provide updates on progress and track key success metrics.
  • Arrange site visits for pioneer cities to learn from successful innovation ecosystems.
Strategic Planning and Communications
  • Develop and roll out a five-year strategic plan for launching and growing a Yes Cities global network.
  • Collaborate with the Urban Transformation and UpLink teams to create marketing materials and documentation.
  • Work with communications teams to develop outcome-oriented communications strategies.
About the Role

This position requires 7+ years of experience working on urban issues and/or developing innovation ecosystems. A Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful business development and experience leading initiatives with local governments and public-private collaborations.
