Research Scientist

The Haute Ecole d'Ingénierie is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join their Peptide and Protein research group. The successful candidate will be working on the development of inhalable peptide inhibitors of Respiratory Syncytial Virus.

This 4-year project, funded by the Swiss National Foundation (SNF), aims to collaborate with HEPIA, UNIGE, Université de Tours, and INRAE to advance our understanding of peptidomimetics and molecular modeling in the context of viral diseases.

As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design, synthesis, and characterization of novel peptide-based antiviral compounds. Your expertise in LC/MS-MS and experience in pulmonary delivery systems will be valuable assets to the team.

To succeed in this role, applicants should hold an advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical biology, or Biological Sciences. Relevant industry experience in peptide antivirals, peptidomimetics, and molecular modeling is essential.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Proficiency in written and spoken English is required, as is the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you can expect a competitive salary of approximately CHF 73,400 per year, which reflects the local market conditions in Sion, Switzerland.
