Biochemistry Laboratory Specialist

At Lonza, we're driven by a passion for life sciences and a commitment to excellence. Our Biochemistry team is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our Quality Control department.
As a member of our team, you'll be responsible for conducting analytical protein analysis, focusing on biochemical analysis, in compliance with GMP and safety guidelines. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out routine analysis, with a focus on ELISA and qPCR, in compliance with GMP and safety guidelines.
- Method implementation, validation, and method transfer.
- Administrative activities, such as documenting results and creating work instructions.
- Supporting laboratory maintenance, ensuring equipment is in good working order, and maintaining a clean and tidy laboratory environment.
- Closing cooperation with shift workers and apprentices, as well as on-call duty.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- An apprenticeship as a Laboratory Technician, BTA, or BSc in Biology.
- First experience with ELISA is a must; experience with qPCR is a plus.
- Experience in the field of Quality Control and GMP is a plus.
- You'll be independent, responsible, and have a precise way of working. You'll also have good communication and teamwork skills, and enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration.
- You'll be committed, have initiative, and enjoy being part of a young, dynamic team.
- Fluency in either German or English is required; language skills in the respective other language are a plus.
