Unlock Your Potential as a Bellman at FIVE Zürich Switzerland

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Bellman to join our dynamic Front Office team at FIVE Zürich Switzerland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring that every interaction with our guests is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Services: Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, activities, promotions, and happenings in the hotel and city.
  • Front Entrance Management: Ensure the front entrance and Bell Desk are manned continuously, and driveways and entrance areas are clean, safe, and free of traffic.
  • Luggage Handling: Retrieve guest items from cars, buses, and vans using safe handling techniques and navigate bell carts through public areas and guest room corridors.
  • Physical Stamina: Stand, carry, and walk continuously for the duration of the shift.
  • Luggage Management: Ensure all luggage are retrieved and loaded/unloaded to/from the correct vehicle with the guest, always re-confirm that the correct number of luggage are loaded/unloaded before allowing the vehicle to move.
  • Room Delivery: Escort guests to rooms or outlets, and point out emergency escape routes before entering the guest room.
  • Public Area Inspection: Visually inspect cleanliness, functionality, safety, and any unusual situations in public areas and report to the concerned department.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Keep public areas and luggage rooms clean and organized, and maintain all equipment in good working order.
  • Guest Requests: Record all guest requests and follow up promptly.
  • Message Delivery: Take and deliver accurate and timely guest messages.
  • Shift Handover: Take endorsement from the previous shift and follow up on any outstanding matters, ensuring that matters needing follow-up are endorsed to the succeeding shift.
  • Hotel Policies: Ensure that hotel policies relating to fire, grooming, hygiene, health, safety, rules, and regulations are understood and adhered to.
  • System Usage: Responsibly use available systems and equipment at the Front Office, including the Property Management System, internet, trolleys, etc.
What We're Looking For:
  • Hands-on Approach: A 'can-do' work attitude with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest services.
  • Excellent Communication: Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Language Skills: Good level of English, German is a plus.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized, results-oriented, with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure.
  • Physical Requirements: Perfect grooming, always on a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Swiss Work Permit: Swiss work permit holder/EU passport holder.
  • Driving License: Driving license holder (category B).
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to find creative solutions while taking ownership for all duties and tasks assigned.
