Senior Legal Counsel IT Law Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at SER Group. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in providing expert legal advice and guidance on IT law, data protection law, and contract law matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice and guidance on IT law, data protection law, and contract law matters to support the growth and development of our business.
• Develop and implement effective legal strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that legal considerations are integrated into business decisions.
• Manage and negotiate IT contracts with customers and partners, including data protection and public procurement procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations and provide training and guidance to colleagues as needed.

Requirements

• Master of Laws (LL.M.) or second state examination in law.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT law, contract law, data protection law, and/or European legal systems or UK or US law.
• Proven track record of providing expert legal advice and guidance in a corporate or in-house law setting.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to handle complex legal and business issues.
• Proficient in MS Office and ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new software.
• Fluent in English (business fluent) and ideally in another language (German, Spanish, French).
