We're entering a new stage of growth, seeking an expert Cloud Infrastructure Manager to oversee the operation of both internal and external services, ensuring our systems run reliably, securely, and at peak performance on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Role Overview

This pivotal role involves managing end-to-end IT operations with a focus on GCP, collaborating closely with our development teams. You'll lead efforts in automation, monitoring, and capacity management, shaping the future of our IT strategy while deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure to meet our growing business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and optimize automated monitoring processes for GCP-based servers, networks, and systems, identifying irregularities and performance bottlenecks.
  • Ensure high availability of production environments through proactive system maintenance, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of our infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement capacity management strategies to scale efficiently as client demand grows.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), providing timely reports and communication with clients on any operational changes or API adjustments.
  • Take full responsibility for GCP-based build deployments from DEV through to PROD environments, ensuring smooth transitions and data security throughout.
Incident Management & Help Desk Escalation
  • Act as a point of escalation for internal and external help desk issues, swiftly resolving or triaging inquiries to maintain smooth operations.
  • Lead incident response efforts, conducting thorough root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
  • Assist in the management of internal IT infrastructure, supporting physical and cloud-based setups.
Policy & Process Development
  • Develop, document, and continuously refine IT operations policies to ensure operational efficiency, reliability, and compliance.
  • Oversee vendor contracts, ensuring third-party services align with our standards and operational requirements.
  • Use Atlassian Jira & Confluence to maintain clear documentation of processes, incident reports, and continuous improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Google Cloud Certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect) are required.
  • Proficiency in English is essential, and German is an asset.
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations, with significant expertise in managing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
  • Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries is a plus.
  • Proven ability to independently manage cloud-based infrastructures, deploying and scaling production systems.
Compensation Package

The estimated salary range for this position is CHF 120,000 - CHF 150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
