We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Client Onboarding Specialist to join our Client Lifecycle Management department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and analyze account opening documentation for individuals and legal entities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
- Perform due diligence checks, including CDB, KYC, AML, Crossborder, and Tax (FATCA, CRS, VAT, stamp duty, etc.)
- End-to-end processing of account openings, including analyzing and validating KYC, performing screening, and validating risk scores.
- Provide clear guidance to front office teams on assessments relating to material risks and formal aspects of account openings and linked changes in circumstances.
- Act as a liaison with tax, compliance, legal teams, and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- University degree (preferably in law) and/or recognized certification in compliance (an asset)
- At least 5 years' experience in the field
- Very good knowledge of CDB, LBA, FATCA, CRS, Crossborder, and Suitability
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of AML, CFT, and Sanctions regulations
- Fluency in spoken and written French and English, with another language an asset
