Senior Process Engineer Utilities Specialist

Bachem AG, a leading company in the development and manufacture of peptides and oligonucleotides, is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer Utilities Specialist. The successful candidate will play a key role in the initiation phase of our new site in Northwestern Switzerland.

Job Description
  • This position offers unique opportunities to shape the future organization and strengthen our team in the Global Engineering department.

Responsibilities:

  1. You will serve as a technical expert (SME) for process discipline within a major CAPEX program, reviewing and optimizing design of process media, energy systems, and exhaust air collection/treatment, as well as tank farm and solvent recycling together with external planners.
  2. You will develop strategies for energy efficiency and support the project from concept planning to commissioning, considering relevant and current technical standards, GMP specifications, and HSE guidelines.
  3. You will lead a team of external planners and coordinate internally with other SMEs of the project, i.e., Site Infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • A university degree as an engineer specializing in process engineering or a related field.
  • Solid expertise in the planning and technology of energy systems and process media.
  • Strong expertise in sustainable design.
  • Experience with local and process exhaust air, as well as site exhaust treatment systems.
  • High resilience and flexibility.
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, with project language in English.
