Senior Process Engineer Sisslerfeld Opportunities

The Bachem Group is investing in a new site in Northwestern Switzerland, as part of our long-term strategy to expand production capacity by the end of the decade. This initiative offers unique opportunities to shape the future organization and strengthen our team in the Global Engineering department.

We are seeking a committed Senior Process Engineer to support our project from concept planning to commissioning, ensuring GMP compliance of systems and processes while collaborating closely with the quality assurance department.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a technical expert (SME) for process discipline within major projects
  • Reviewing and optimizing design of engineering processes for peptide or oligonucleotide plants together with external planners
  • Supporting project requirements, taking into account relevant technical standards, GMP specifications, and HSE guidelines
  • Ensuring GMP compliance of systems and processes, along with associated technical documentation, in close cooperation with quality assurance

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • University degree as an engineer specializing in process or chemical engineering or a related field
  • Solid expertise in planning and technology of chemical-pharmaceutical API production plants
  • Familiarity with GMP requirements in the chemical-pharmaceutical industry, as well as knowledge of clean utilities, clean rooms, and containment
  • Sound process knowledge in upstream and/or downstream of peptides or oligonucleotides is an advantage
  • High resilience and flexibility, ability to manage uncertainty effectively
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, with project language primarily in English

An estimated salary range for this position is between CHF 90,000 - CHF 120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
