**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join our team at Tally Weijl. As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing a fashion line for our target customer and buying it in the right scale, ensuring product development and choosing the most efficient methods for garments and/or products mass-production.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our target customer and main markets.
  • Monitor and react to trends and customer behavior.
  • Be responsible for customer focus and SELECTIVE lines.
  • Set targets and respect company and department margin objectives.
  • Define a buying strategy for long and short term.
  • Exchange with the merchandise planner to set up a precise assortment plan and stick to targets.
  • Evaluate sales reports and analyze competition.
  • Inform the team about best and bad products and current performance.
  • Responsible for setting up and planning sourcing, shopping, and store day trips.
  • Jointly responsible for sourcing new factories and suppliers.

**Assortment Management**

  • Responsible for the best assortment: best product, best price, right time, right quantity.
  • Constantly on the lookout for new trends.
  • Select and develop items corresponding to the targeted customer and latest trends, ensuring the replacement of big volumes lines and achieving targets.

**Buying and Sourcing**

  • Develop a sourcing plan.
  • Negotiate, focusing on profitability and quality.

**Sales and Performance**

  • Constantly follow and react to performance and new sales.
  • Exchange with the merchandise planner on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Ask for specific analysis depending on sales results.
  • Analyze collections performance and competitors' collections.
  • Work with visual merchandisers to put emphasis on main pieces and promotions.
