Job Title: Specialist, Nature Action Agenda

About the Role:

The World Economic Forum is seeking a highly motivated and organized Specialist to support the Centre for Nature and Climate (CNC) in its mission to promote a nature-positive economy. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head, Nature and Biodiversity to coordinate events, manage communities, and improve processes for efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Community Engagement (30%): Manage monthly calls, schedule meetings, and update notes and clear next steps with the Head, Nature and Biodiversity. Work closely with the Policy Lead, Nature Action Agenda to manage the Champions for Nature and Senior Advisors' community.
  • Team Coordination (40%): Support team coordination of meetings, note-taking, and stakeholder outreach. Manage the knowledge and digital library, including database, supporting materials, and interaction logs.
  • Support Financing for Nature (30%): Work closely with the Lead, Innovative Finance for Nature to strengthen stakeholder engagement, including the Frontrunners Coalition. Provide logistical support for cross-house collaboration on Financing for Nature.

Requirements:

  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to work with MS Office tools, including making professional slides and process visualization.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Time Management and Prioritization: Ability to work to short deadlines, juggling competing demands without compromising quality.
  • Interpersonal Skills and Emotional Intelligence: Ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
  • Motivation: Self-starter who enjoys working in a highly collaborative environment.

Preferred Requirements and Experience:

  • Master's in business administration, international development, finance, economics, or similar.
  • Minimum of two years' professional experience in a project management/coordination role at a relevant business or not-for-profit organization, including consulting.
  • Proven record of working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask.
  • Experience working on environmental/sustainability issues is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working within multi-stakeholder processes and coordinating high-level meetings.
