As a Site Operations Coordinator at Kanadevia Inova, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient execution of lifting operations on our construction sites. Your leadership skills and expertise will contribute significantly to maintaining high safety standards and compliance with regulations.

Job Description

  • You will lead by example, demonstrating strong HSEQ principles and enforcing strict adherence to safety protocols during scaffold and lifting activities.
  • Ensuring all lifting operations are meticulously planned, organized, and executed by competent personnel, you will oversee crane selection, equipment suitability, and safe slinging/signaling arrangements.
  • You will be responsible for planning and supervising scaffold erection, verifying structural integrity, and overseeing modifications or repairs to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Your main point of contact for scaffold and lifting coordination, you will chair regular meetings with contractors to minimize disruptions and optimize work execution.
  • You will conduct thorough audits on scaffolding and lifting equipment, ensuring all gear is properly marked and undergoes periodic examinations, preventing unauthorized use.
  • With your expertise, you will train and certify personnel involved in lifting and scaffold operations, providing guidance on best practices and delivering lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  • You will maintain detailed records of inspections, risk assessments, and safety measures, ensuring compliance with legal and project requirements while keeping site management informed of relevant activities.

Requirements

  • Certified CISRS Advanced scaffolding inspection qualification.
  • 1-Day temporary works accredited training course completion.
  • Experience working in a similar role on large-scale construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant HSEQ laws and management system requirements.
  • Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass (ROI), CSCS or CCNSG card or equivalent.
  • Excellent command of English; proficiency in other languages an asset.
