Job Summary

Luminary Group is seeking an exceptional Head of Biostatistics to lead our team of talented biostatisticians. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in providing statistical expertise and guidance for the analysis and interpretation of real-world evidence (RWE) data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of biostatisticians, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure the success of our biostatistics department.
  • Statistical Strategy Development: Develop and implement statistical strategies and methodologies for analyzing complex RWE datasets, ensuring the quality and integrity of our statistical analyses.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand study objectives and design appropriate statistical analyses, driving business growth and innovation.
  • Statistical Analysis and Reporting: Perform statistical analyses, including descriptive, inferential, and predictive modeling, on real-world data, and communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the quality, integrity, and compliance of statistical analyses and results, meeting regulatory requirements and guidelines related to biostatistics in the healthcare industry.
  • Software Development: Develop and maintain statistical software and tools for efficient data analysis and reporting, staying current with the latest advancements in biostatistics and real-world evidence.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Communicate statistical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing innovative statistical solutions and driving business growth.
Requirements:
  • Education: PhD in biostatistics, statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in biostatistics, with a focus on real-world evidence (RWE) and the healthcare industry.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven track record of leading a biostatistics team.
  • Statistical Expertise: Expertise in statistical methodologies and modeling techniques, including survival analysis, regression, and Bayesian methods.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in statistical analysis software, such as SAS, R, or Python, and experience with real-world data sources and healthcare databases.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory requirements and guidelines related to biostatistics in the healthcare industry.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to provide innovative statistical solutions, and strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
