Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Commodity Trader - Sustainability Specialist to join our trading team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all commercial activities in their allocated region or specific part of trading cocoa beans. The role requires flexibility to take over other regions or commercial roles when required at the desk.

The trader will work closely with colleagues in origin countries to execute buying plans, maintain contact with suppliers, handle claims, and ensure smooth logistics execution of contracts. Additionally, the trader will serve as a link to the Trade Houses community and local suppliers, maintaining knowledge of available products and prices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain excellent relationships with assigned suppliers, stakeholders, management, finance teams, and receiving sites to ensure readiness for EUDR Compliance.
  2. Sell to customers/factories, managing relationships, anticipating needs, and resolving any issues.
  3. Drive the profit and loss (P&L) of your assigned region, ensuring business and contracting optimization.
  4. Be the go-to person for operational issues around the trading and logistics desk for your region.
