Bid and Program Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bid and Program Manager to join our team at Safran Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and submission of bids and proposals, as well as managing projects from initial customer inquiry through contract negotiations to project completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement bid and proposal strategies to secure new business opportunities
  • Lead cross-functional teams to prepare and submit bids and proposals
  • Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with contracts, processes, deadlines, costs, and quality
  • Conduct commercial and technical negotiations with customers and partner companies
  • Coordinate activities and monitor the supply chain, including all corporate units
  • Develop opportunities for further business generation in projects
  • Responsible for a positive project culture, motivating the team and conducting lessons learned
Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing interdisciplinary projects, ideally in a technical environment
  • Experience in preparing offers, leading offer teams, and conducting contract negotiations is an advantage
  • Project management certification (e.g., IPMA or PMI, either already obtained or willingness to acquire)
  • Technical degree with further education in business administration or a business degree with strong technical understanding
  • Good proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken; knowledge of French would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of commercial and contractual/legal matters
  • Skilled in handling and negotiating with customers and at higher management levels
  • High competence and persuasive ability in presentations and leading meetings
