About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Contract Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our team in Fribourg, Switzerland. As a key member of our organization, you will contribute to our growth by effectively managing all aspects of external manufacturing operations and building strong relationships with our Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) partners.
Main Responsibilities- CMO Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with CMO partners, conduct business reviews to ensure alignment, and negotiate Manufacturing & Supply Agreements and contract amendments.
- Process Optimization: Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), implement processes for early risk identification, define and follow-up on corrective actions and improvement plans, and provide technical support as needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive cross-functional collaboration and oversee activities between CMOs and internal stakeholders such as Supply Planner, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs.
- Network Analysis and Optimization: Analyze existing CMO network and capabilities, provide recommendations for optimization to secure long-term supply stability and improve cost-effectiveness.
- Business Development: Identify development opportunities of existing assets and partnerships, in alignment with affiliate business strategy and commercial objectives.
- CMO Selection: Evaluate business cases for CMO selection and oversee technology transfers or other projects related to CMOs.
- Supply Chain Management: Coordinate Product Supply process together with the Supply Planner.
- University degree in Life Sciences/Pharmaceuticals or Engineering.
- At least 8 years' experience in pharmaceutical operations, including solid experience in CMO management, technology transfer, or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge in pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply chain processes, GMP, and CMC processes.
- Experience in pharmaceutical project management is a plus.
- Full fluency in English and proficiency in German or French.
