Production Team Lead Coordinator

The Buffer Production Team is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you'll manage and coach a team of production team leads, optimize production schedules, and support the automation of processes. Your focus will be on ensuring the manufacturing execution meets safety, quality, and on-time-in-full delivery standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of production team leads, overseeing all aspects of human resource management, including qualification, development, coaching, hiring, pay decisions, and discipline issues.
  • Implement the Lonza culture by fostering openness to change, encouraging new ideas, and promoting cooperative teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Accountable for the execution of all production campaigns in your manufacturing unit, ensuring safety, quality, and delivery standards are met.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for production issues in your manufacturing unit, following common escalation guidelines.
  • Collaborate with production support, QA, and production teams to find solutions and troubleshoot issues.
  • Represent the operational area in customer meetings, audits, and regulatory inspections.

Key requirements:

  • Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or a related field.
  • Working experience in biotechnical manufacturing.
  • MES and DeltaV experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to interact with various interfaces within the organization.
  • Strong team orientation.
  • Structured, focused, and well-organized working attitude, with an open mind for new ideas and suggestions.
  • Agile, highly motivated, and dynamic drive, with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Business fluency in German and English.
