Traffic Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traffic Coordinator to join our team at STAEGER PERSONAL PARTNERS. As a key member of our commodities trading team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods and materials, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to our customers.

• Draft and Review Contracts: Prepare and review sales and purchase contracts, as well as amendments, to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• Commercial Invoicing: Prepare and submit commercial invoices to receivers and suppliers, and coordinate the settlement of invoices.
• Logistics Coordination: Organize container and truck shipments of concentrates, including storage, and ensure that all necessary documentation is in order.
• Letter of Credit Management: Open and check letters of credit for our receivers, request amendments, and negotiate documents for collection of payment.
• Warehouse Management: Coordinate operations with local logistics companies and agents, follow up on daily warehouse transfer reports, stock controls, and independent inspections.
• Loading and Discharging Operations: Arrange for independent supervision of loading and discharging operations, as well as weighing, sampling, and moisture determination operations.
• Assay and Sampling: Provide instructions to laboratories for assaying and umpire, arrange assay exchanges with suppliers and receivers.
• Risk Management: Insure risks of each transport as well as material in storage.
• Profit and Loss Calculations: Monitor profit and loss calculations.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, banks, logistics providers, and other stakeholders.

• Daily Hedge Management: Handle daily metal and FX hedges, including collection of physical pricings and preparation of daily hedge instructions.
• Contractual Pricings and Futures Trades: Book contractual pricings and futures trades into the system and maintain/ control London Metal Exchange (LME) positions.
• Price Risk Management: Control price risk management by coordinating hedge orders, positions, and settlements on a daily basis.
• LME Position Reconciliation: Reconcile LME positions on a daily and monthly basis with the broker and issue daily clearing instructions.

• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in an international environment in Traffic/Logistics and/or LME/Derivatives within the commodities trading industry.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and trends to make informed hedging decisions.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English, German is an asset, and any further languages (Spanish) are of advantage.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across different levels.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
