About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supplier Development Manager to join our Global Supply Chain Development team at Burckhardt Compression AG.
Main Responsibilities:
- As a member of our casting competence group, you will be responsible for activities related to casting pattern data management, pattern inspections, prototype inspection, and monitoring of improvement measures in foundry & supplier performance.
- You will manage and execute projects for the development of compressor parts in collaboration with suppliers, including technical and quality audits.
- You will determine performance improvement measures (Quality & Delivery Performance) with suppliers under development as well as existing suppliers on escalation.
- You will manage, execute, and monitor trial orders from new suppliers up to handover to operational procurement.
- You will coordinate development & improvement activities with Engineering & Technical specialists as well as support to Category management and R&D in development projects.
Requirements:
- You hold a technical degree (e.g., HF Mechanical Engineering or related field).
- You have education and/or practical experience in heavy engineering products, profound work experience, and technical know-how in castings / Iron & Steel foundry or supplier development of foundries/casting parts, machined parts will be of advantage.
- You have education, training, or experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance as well as Engineering or Project Management will be of benefit.
- You have experience with Reciprocating Machines or equivalent products and their components will sharpen your profile.
- You have experience/knowledge of working in SAP-Environment.
- You have experience/knowledge with Microsoft Office tools and presentation techniques.
- You possess professional English communication skills in spoken and written language, as well as fluency in German.
