The MRI Coordination Office is responsible for coordinating various activities such as syntheses workshops, working groups, events, and platforms that bring researchers and stakeholders together. As part of our team, you will be responsible for liaising with the Governing Body, Working Group leads, team members, network members, external partners, and stakeholders to promote mountain research within scientific organizations, networks, and science–policy fora.
Duties and Responsibilities- Coordinate and plan events such as workshops, webinars, seminars, research meetings, and conferences.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
- Manage the MRI Experts Database and support reporting tasks related to outputs and outcomes of MRI activities.
- Collaborate with the Communications Manager on content development for publications, newsletters, website, social media, and other outreach channels.
- Support horizon-scanning by exploring and contributing ideas around prospects of strategic priority for the MRI.
- A Master's degree in Earth sciences or related fields.
- At least 3 years' experience in project management.
- Experience in engaging at the science–policy–practice interface and knowledge of relevant regional and/or global policy processes or research programmes.
- Excellent intercultural communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Spoken and written proficiency in English is required, with knowledge of German and/or French being highly desirable.
