Senior Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Controller to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance activities of our family office, including the development and maintenance of robust financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Systems Management: Develop and maintain efficient, relevant, and intuitive financial systems to support the family office's financial activities.
  • Financial Reporting: Manage the preparation of management reports, including P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, and KPIs, to provide insights into the family office's financial performance.
  • Financial Planning: Develop annual budgets and forecasts to ensure the family office's financial goals are met.
  • Cash Flow Management: Analyze and monitor cash flow across all projects and entities to ensure sufficient liquidity to meet upcoming payments and capital calls.
  • Investment Management: Manage Private Equity fund investment calls, distributions, tax documents, KYC/AML, and other document requests by funds, and liaise with banks.
  • Financial Operations: Manage monthly bank reconciliations, checking distributions received, and public equities, including booking trades in the GL and reconciling positions and cash to broker statements.
  • Real Estate Management: Analyze costs and income on residential real estate investments.
  • Ad Hoc Requests: Respond to any ad hoc information or analysis requests from the Principal.
  • Year-End Close: Prepare for year-end close, including reconciliations, annual accounts, consolidation, tax reporting, and audit coordination.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage tax returns and tax filings, including W8-BENs, FATCA declarations, and tax optimisation and compliance of wealth structures.
  • Document Management: Retain, archive, and centralise supporting documents, including supplier contracts and invoices, and consolidate and archive legal documents.

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with experience managing the general ledger in a financial organisation, and will possess excellent written and verbal English skills, strong attention to detail, high personal integrity, and discretion.
