Finance Administrator

Mercanta, a leading coffee importer, is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to support the Finance Controller in their Kingston office.

About the Role

This is a dynamic finance role that will involve updating and maintaining financial data using SAP, managing online banking, and ensuring the company's cash flow position is up to date at all times.

Main Responsibilities

• Support the Finance Controller in maintaining accurate financial records and providing timely financial information to the ECOM Group.
• Update and maintain financial data using SAP, including managing online banking and foreign currency contracts.
• Manage the company's cash flow position, including applying for import loans and cancelling loans as necessary.
• Perform daily and weekly bank reconciliations, including foreign currency accounts.
• Assist with stock management and maintain accurate records of incoming shipments.
• Develop and implement new administrative systems to improve efficiency.
• Perform other duties as required, including covering for incoming deliveries and visitors to the office.

Requirements

• Maths A Level or equivalent.
• Relevant work experience within a finance or office environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and people skills.
• Practical and accurate skills in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to use own initiative and work within teams.
• Good analytical skills.
