We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice Director of IT Infrastructure Services to join our team at Swissquote Bank. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for leading teams that cover the scopes of Networking, Compute, Storage, and Core Systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to instill a sense of drive in their teams. You will work closely with IT architects and Performance Analysts to plan and execute the department's long-term technical objectives while providing reliable service for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee network architecture, server infrastructure, and storage solutions.
  • Implement and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Identify potential barriers to change and develop strategies to overcome them.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Oversee IT operational concerns, ensure efficiency of on-call and support roles.
  • Negotiate pricing and conditions with third-parties, vendors, and service providers.
Requirements:
  • Notable experience in capacity planning, budgeting, and long-term planning.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing complex IT environments and leading large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Extensive experience in alternate industries such as telco, manufacturing, aviation, or pharmaceutics.
  • Strong understanding of network architecture, server infrastructure, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working with multi-functional technical and business teams, along with different levels of management to influence decision making.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience within Swissquote with working relationships with key players in management and staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and balance internal and business projects.
  • Knowledge of BGP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other network protocols.
  • Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Proficiency in virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, LXC, docker, podman).
  • Understanding of SAN, NAS, and DAS storage systems.
  • Extensive Experience in IT system CI/CD.
  • Comfortable with Infrastructure as Code tooling (puppet, ansible, terraform, etc.).
