Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Finance Manager to join our team at STAEGER PERSONAL PARTNERS. As a Trade Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing trade finance operations, including placing letters of credit, booking information lines, and checking bank documents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Place letters of credit with financing banks and book information lines.

  • Advise banks on expiring letters of credit and check bank documents related to confirmation.

  • Pre-check draft documents prior to presentation under expiring letters of credit.

  • Check, approve, and negotiate bank costs on credit advices from negotiating/confirming banks.

  • Draft, check, and approve wording for import letters of credit/SBLCs.

  • Issue import letters of credit/SBLCs and amendments as needed.

  • Implement letter of credit-accepting discrepancies and provide disposal instructions to issuing banks.

  • Provide guidance to commercial departments on documents prior to contract issuance.

  • Manage letter of credit exposures and monitor the book by updating corresponding reports.

  • Work closely with the Treasury team and replace in case of absence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance.

  • Certification in trade finance or treasury is preferred but not mandatory.

  • 5-8 years of experience in a similar role in a trade finance bank or commodity trading company.

  • Good reputation with trade finance banks in Europe.

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English, with any other European language being a plus.

  • Advanced MS Office skills.

  • Highest levels of customer service orientation, professionalism, and reliability.

  • Ability to work under pressure, be resilient, and work independently and in a team.

  • Eager to grow within the company.
