Your Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite energy accounts, analyzing risk engineering exposures, terms, and conditions, pricing, and capacity deployment.
- Determine exposure levels, normal loss expectancies, and maximum possible loss scenarios.
- Control accumulations, including natural catastrophe exposures.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with clients and brokers.
- Ensure compliance with Helvetia Group directives.
- Broaden your knowledge of the energy client and broker network.
- Participate in national and international client and broker meetings, site inspections, and industry events.
- Collaborate with our claims department for large and complex claims.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- University degree in an engineering, science-related, or business-related field.
- Experience in energy underwriting or the underlying energy industry.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and sales skills.
- Good business acumen and knowledge of the energy insurance markets.
- Ability to tackle challenges with passion and drive results.
- Foster stable partnerships across departmental boundaries.
- Positive, flexible, and team-oriented approach.
- English proficiency; German knowledge is highly valued.
