Embedded Software Specialist for E-Mobility Innovation

We are seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join our team at myStromer AG, a leading company in the e-mobility sector.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity will involve working as an embedded software specialist, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs. Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering Support: Provide technical assistance to manufacturing and assembly processes, identifying and troubleshooting software-related problems, designing test and programming stations, developing test scripts and interfaces, and maintaining lists of necessary tools and equipment.
  • Technical Evaluation: Analyze system requirements, applications (C, real-time capable software), and interfaces (CAN, LIN, IPC, etc.) to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Prototyping and Optimization: Develop and test key features and system-critical functions, verifying, optimizing, and refactoring code to meet performance and quality expectations.
  • Synchronization and Collaboration: Work closely with other development departments and project management teams to ensure seamless integration and timely delivery of projects.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Technical Computing, or Computer Science.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience as a developer in embedded software development with C/C++.
  • Skills and Qualifications:
    • Familiarity with CAN-Bus and CiA/ CANopen & EnergyBus protocols.
    • Practical experience with bus systems, particularly Vector tool chain.
    • Knowledge of wireless technology and related software stacks (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GSM, GPS).
    • Familiarity with git, software quality metrics, automated tests (unit tests, user interface), ongoing integration, and agile software development.
    • Confidence in using diagnostic protocols.
    • Active participation in the open-source community is desired.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent spoken and written English (the team's lingua franca) and very good knowledge of German.
  • Work Arrangement: Willingness to work on-site in Oberwangen for several days a week.
