This role is responsible for ensuring the activities conducted by Clearstream Fund Centre AG are in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, circulars, and directives.
About the JobThis position serves as a single point of contact for the Risk Management team and the Chief Risk Officer. The primary focus is to ensure local adherence to risk management requirements and steer risks for Clearstream Fund Centre Switzerland (CFCS) within the ecosystem of Clearstream Investment Funds Services.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain an effective end-to-end risk governance framework that includes holistic approaches to risk controlling and reporting.
- Develop, implement, and maintain business continuity management and related governance frameworks, including testing activities where necessary.
- Identify, assess, manage, and report financial and non-financial risks, including yearly risk assessments, periodic internal and external risk management reports, and documentation of incidents.
- Prepare and align policies, supporting materials, and guidelines in line with group risk policies and applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide advice and challenge existing and new business areas regarding control implementation and optimization, as well as Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for ongoing risk monitoring.
- Implement incident management processes and monitor incidents and complaints.
- Participate in the Global Risk Management team of CFCL and support projects and initiatives within the Chief Risk Officer Area.
- Act as a support and advisory resource for first-line defense employees and management on Risk Management-related queries.
- Handle internal and external audits.
- Represent Clearstream Risk in internal committees, local industry forums, and when required, liaise with external parties such as legal advisors, business partners, auditors, regulators, and customers.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 3-5 years of experience in Financial and Non-Financial Risk, preferably in the financial services/banking/financial market infrastructure providers sector.
- A university degree in International Business, Economics, or any relevant field.
- Excellent understanding of local requirements (FINMA) and European risk management principles, regulations, and standards.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in mathematical and statistical concepts.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages are beneficial.
- Ability to understand and transform complex data into meaningful analytics.
- Team player with independent work capabilities on complex matters/projects.
- Pleasure in working within an international and diverse team.
We offer a competitive salary range of €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience.
