Job Overview

As a Bartender on our Mississippi Food & Beverage team, you will support the Restaurant Manager in ensuring the efficient operations of all bar lounges, bars, restaurants, special events, and all Guest areas where beverage service activities take place. You will report to the Assistant Restaurant Manager in our onboard Restaurant, River Café, Explorers' Lounge, and Room Service.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve drinks according to company standards, while maintaining in-depth knowledge of bar menus to deliver exceptional STAR service.
  • Tally sales transactions, follow accounting procedures, and correctly tally bar revenue.
  • Ensure cost control and conduct stock takes.
  • Ensure assigned areas are set up properly in time, maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards, uphold grooming standards, and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Assist in setup and execution of F&B ship functions and special events.
  • Will be required to work 10-12 weeks straight on the ship followed by 3 weeks vacation.

Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience as Bartender or similar at a 5-Star hospitality and/or restaurant environment; shipboard experience is an advantage.
  • Must be 21+ years old; physically fit and in good health; must be able to carry heavy items and stand, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of time.
  • Guest-focused, service-oriented, positive personality, professional appearance, and impeccable hygiene standards.
  • Excellent knowledge of all public health policies.
